Turkey or Meat Loaf
(for Adult Danes)
3 lbs ground turkey or beef
3 eggs, INCLUDING shells
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups oatmeal
1 cup cottage cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
½ cup chopped mixed veggies
Fresh parsley, chopped.
Mix ingredients together like a meatloaf. The egg shells will break into small
pieces as you mix. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, or crockpot 6 hours on low.
Also can be microwaved in small batches.
*Use leaner meat and low-fat cottage cheese if you want to reduce calories.
Parsley Cubes
If you have fresh parsley, you can chop the whole bunch in a food processor. Add
organic chicken broth to cover, and freeze in ice cube trays. Once frozen, remove
from trays and store in freezer in zip lock bags. Cubes can be thawed and added
as needed to either turkey loaf or K-9 casserole.
